Welcome to HHCLC! Where Children are our #1 Priority!!

Happy Home High Scope Curriculum

The interaction between adult and the child, for the philosopher, Vygotsky is like a dance - the child leads and the adult follows always closely in tune with the child’s actions.

The Happy Home curriculum is developmentally appropriate and helps staff build classroom environments that are sensitive to the children’s natural development and that encourage verbalization and independent decision-making.

Children learn the Happy Home motto, poems and weekly proverbs that all encourage good values and morals. The role of the teacher is to encourage children’s efforts by talking to them, joining in with their play, helping them to solve their own problems and sometimes introducing them to new experiences. See this information for the current month's general curriculum.
